FRIENDS OF THE POOR® WALK

You are able to share all your Friends of the Poor Walk® pictures and videos so everyone can enjoy your success. We may even publish a video compilation of YOUR videos! You can publish pictures and videos right here on this page (see below). Also, here are some tips for shooting video and pictures you can use…..
1. It’s always best to have the sun over your shoulder when you are shooting something. A little overcast or haze is better than harsh direct sunlight.
2. Try to arrange your shots so the background is not brighter than your subject.
3. Resist the urge to zoom in and out a lot, and when you do, do it slowly.
4. No big sweeping pans, move very slowly while panning.
5. If someone is talking and you want to hear, zoom all the way out and get close…but not so close you get face distortion.
6. When you have a good shot, tape it for at least 8 seconds, holding the picture as steady as possible. This gives us room to edit.
7. If you are traveling, walking or running, keep the camera zoomed out to it’s widest and use the flip out monitor instead of the view finder.
8. Another trick for moving shots is to try putting your camera on a folded up tripod. Turn the camera on and grip the tripod for camera support. This will give you a steadier picture.
9. Fill the screen with your subject. Long shots of people from far away are seldom usable.
10. If you have low light, and the picture looks green, pixely or muddy, we can’t use the shot.
11. Video from a camera phone is seldom usable. Consumer DV or HDV format is best.
12. Don’t talk while you are shooting, we can add narration later. We want to hear the “Nat” or natural sound.
